Can I use some of your equipment?

Did you see some of my equipment and wonder if you could use something during a Tour or Workshop? The answer is, it depends!

I cannot lend out equipment anymore but I am sometimes willing to rent select items during workshops and tours. I’m much more willing to rent lenses than camera bodies and I don’t like to rent anything that has a finite life-span. (e.g. flash units, memory cards, batteries, etc.)

I won’t rent gear to someone who’s equipment looks like it has been abused or was in a war zone. On the other hand, if your gear has been well cared for and you agree to be responsible for my gear while you are using it then I’ll likely be willing to rent to you.

Tripods for rent:
Gitzo GT3541XLS Professional Tripods (4 leg sections.; maximum height: 77.95-inches.; minimum height: 3.94-inches.; weight: 4.34 lbs.) with Lenscoat leg-wraps and either an Acratech GV2 Ballhead and leveling base OR a Wimberley II gimbal head are available for rent at $35 per day.

Monopods for rent:
Bogen-Manfrotto Professional Mono-pods are available at $15 per day.

Please note:

  • Availability of rental gear is limited and must be arranged in advance because I typically don’t bring much of my gear to workshops or on tours.

  • I do not rent equipment outside of my Tours or Workshops.

  • My tripod heads have Really Right Stuff, Wimberley, or Acratech clamps so you’ll need to use an ArcaSwiss style compatible bracket to mount your camera on my tripod heads. For example, Manfrotto and Gitzo brackets are not compatible. If you don’t have an ArcaSwiss compatible bracket I will also lend you an ArcaSwiss universal camera bracket or you could bring your own tripod head and use it in place of my tripod heads.
