This weekend is really starting to look like Fall with sunny days and crisp, cold nights. A cold front is moving in from the North and it will give the trees in many areas of the state a good jump start to fall colors.
Early color is just beginning to appear mostly in small patches in higher elevations and low-lying areas around wetlands and water bodies. This early color consists mainly of yellow and orange and some reds from red maple trees.
As the weekend progresses start looking for more purples leafs from white ash trees and brighter reds.
